Sample the Sierra is bringing Pop-Up Dinners back to Lake Tahoe to kick off Labor Day weekend. Set underneath the stars on the tenth tee of the Lake Tahoe Golf Course, two up-and-comers to the Reno culinary scene will surely seduce your taste buds with a four-course farm-to-table style menu on Friday, September 4.

Josh and Whitney Deri of Blend Catering have planned a menu to remember for those lucky enough to get a ticket to this intimate event. With each course paired with a wine, beer or spirit from the Sierra Nevada region, the Pop-Up Dinner wholly embodies the local flavors of the Sierra Nevada region. It is a can’t-miss event for foodies and wine enthusiasts!

This year’s Pop-Up Dinner includes the following menu:
FIRST COURSE paired with Bella Grace Vineyards, Rose
Heirloom tomato, whipped burrata, peach, cucumber, tomato water, sumac
King salmon, yellow coconut curry, slow cooked carrot, eggplant, malted barley, kefir lime, crispy shallot
THIRD COURSE paired with Boeger Winery, Barbera
Short ribs, crispy sunchoke, grits, raw milk cheddar, watercress, smoked cherry jus
FOURTH COURSE paired with Lava Cap Winery, Muscat Canelli
Sweet corn cake, crème fraiche ice cream, salted caramel, huckleberry jam, meringue

Reservations for the Sample the Sierra Pop-Up Dinner close Wednesday, September 2 at 5 p.m. Lake Tahoe Golf Course is located at 2500 Emerald Bay Road in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Tickets are $75 per person and available online.
